This Privacy Policy describes how Brifo — the AI meeting notes application for macOS, operated from brifo.in — collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Brifo desktop app and associated cloud services. Brifo is not affiliated with Brifo Logistics or Brifo Infrabuild (unrelated Indian logistics companies with similar names).

1. What we collect

• Account info. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
• Calendar metadata (optional). If you connect Google Calendar, we read event titles, times, and attendees to match meetings to captures. We do not read event bodies unless you explicitly ask us to.
• Meeting transcripts. When you capture a meeting, the transcript (text) is sent to our servers for AI processing.
• Meeting notes and action items generated from transcripts.
• Diagnostic logs (errors, device model, app version) to keep Brifo working.

2. What we do NOT collect

• We do not upload or store raw meeting audio. Audio is captured and processed locally on your Mac. Only the transcript is sent to our cloud.
• We do not read your emails, documents, or files.
• We do not track you across the web.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. How we use your data

• To generate AI meeting notes, summaries, and action items from your transcripts.
• To match captures to your calendar events (if Google Calendar is connected).
• To file action items as Jira tickets (if Jira is connected, at your request).
• To operate, secure, and improve Brifo.

4. Third-party processors

Transcripts are processed by OpenAI (GPT-4.1) to generate notes. OpenAI's API is configured to not use your data for training. Data is stored in MongoDB Atlas.

5. Your rights

You can delete any meeting (and its transcript and notes) from inside the app. You can disconnect Google Calendar and Jira at any time from Settings. You can delete your account by emailing us at hello@brifo.in, which will purge your transcripts, notes, action items, and account data within 30 days.

6. Security

Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. JWT tokens expire after 30 days. We use industry-standard practices to protect data at rest.
